STORYLINE:
Türkiye launched on Friday three domestically produced warships and an unmanned naval vessel at a ceremony in the northwestern Yalova province.
Speaking at the delivery ceremony at the Sefine Shipyard, Türkiye's premier shipyard, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said the vessels would contribute to strengthening the country's naval power.

"We do not only build the ships. We can produce sensors, payloads, weapons and ammunition domestically and indigenously in the ships we build."
The Turkish leader stated that Türkiye has reached a localization rate of up to 80 percent in shipbuilding projects and its next target is to become a fully independent country in the defense industry.
Among the warships delivered are Türkiye's first frigate, TCG Istanbul, a marine supply combat support ship, TCG Derya, and a logistic support ship, TCG Arif Ekmekci.
Marlin Sida, an unmanned naval vessel produced by Türkiye's leading defense company, Aselsan, and Sefine Shipyard, has been equipped with high electronic warfare capability.
