Mexican singer Peso Pluma is involved in a new controversy after the Chilean government asks to be banned from participating in the Vina del Mar festival.
It was known that it was the public television channel of Chile, TVN, that requested that Peso Pluma not be present to close the musical event on March 1.
The reasons? for the director of the channel it is not correct to "transmit or promote repertoires alluding to violence, drug trafficking and other elements related to the so-called narcoculture".
"As part of its public mission, Television Nacional de Chile must promote democratic values, human rights, culture, respect and care for the environment, tolerance and diversity," the statement continues.
They also relate this request to the increase in organized crime in the country, lyrics that the 24-year-old constantly mentions in his songs.
