In a recent operation, the IDF's 55th Brigade confronted the Eastern Khan Yunis Battalion, targeting Hamas activities in the area. The operation involved intense close-quarters combat, resulting in the elimination of a terrorist squad. Forces meticulously scanned a central Hamas combat zone, neutralizing an underground route and dismantling tunnel shafts.

Backed by precise intelligence, the troops conducted a targeted raid on Hamas infrastructure, uncovering dozens of rocket launchers, explosive devices, and intelligence documents. The discovered rocket launchers were promptly dismantled. Unfortunately, the operation saw a sacrifice, with a soldier from the 71st Battalion losing their life in action, while three IDF soldiers sustained injuries.
