Abu al-Abbas, the owner of a workshop that specializes in crafting home furniture from palm leaves, shares that he has been in this profession for many years, having inherited it from his parents and grandparents.
He continues to manage the workshop to make a living.
Abu al-Abbas explains that the majority of their clients are plantation owners, proprietors of heritage cafes, and individuals who value heritage.
He says that manufacturing furniture from palm leaves is considered one of Iraq's ancient heritage industries.
