This is the dramatic moment a house was swept away as flash floods swamped villages in Indonesia.

Footage shows a wooden home along the edge of the Ulu Konaweeha being uprooted by the raging deluge before collapsing against a bridge in Kolaka Regency, Southeast Sulawesi, on January 20.

Local officials said the river burst its banks following heavy rainfall in the area.

Inspector Soekotjo, Head of the Samaturu Sector Police, said: 'There were no casualties. Everyone managed to evacuate when the river water overflowed.'

He added that the residents of the destroyed house had fled to a relative's house and were safe.

Meanwhile, hundreds of houses were also reported to have been flooded in the Kolaka Regency.

Disaster management personnel were carrying out evacuations and disaster relief.
