This footage was filmed and produced 21 January 2024.

The IDF's 98th Division recently operated in a clandestine tunnel beneath Khan Yunis, approximately 830 meters long and 20 meters deep, where hostages were reportedly held. The entrance to the tunnel was booby-trapped, containing various obstacles, explosives, sliding doors, and blast doors. IDF soldiers encountered militants inside, engaged in combat, and eliminated them. Regrettably, by the time the soldiers reached the tunnel, the hostages had been moved to another location.

The examination revealed a central chamber and five prison cells where hostages were allegedly held. Discoveries included items indicating hostage presence, intelligence materials, and weapons associated with the Hamas organization. Approximately 20 hostages were reported at different times, with some released and others potentially still held in Gaza.

Situated in a civilian area, the tunnel's entrance was located within the residence of a Hamas militants. Intelligence estimates suggest significant financial investment in the tunnel's construction. This tunnel was part of an extensive underground network dug by Hamas beneath Khan Yunis. Following the examination, the tunnel was destroyed.
