In a recent incident, Indian River County deputies swiftly responded to reports of a loose bull in the 6500 block of 12th Street on the evening of Jan. 13. The bull, though on its property, posed a potential threat as it meandered dangerously close to the road, prompting concerned calls.

Deputies, along with skilled cowboys, worked tirelessly for nearly two hours to safely contain the agitated bull, which had charged at both people and vehicles during the ordeal. Employing tranquilizer darts, the law enforcement team successfully immobilized the bull. Following this intervention, the animal was carefully returned to its paddock, where it made a full recovery from the chemical immobilization.

The Indian River County Sheriff's Office, particularly the Ag Unit, played a crucial role in ensuring the safety of all involved. Fortunately, due to their swift and effective actions, no injuries were reported during this challenging situation.
