STORYLINE:

At least 50 Palestinians have been killed and dozens of others wounded by Israeli bombings on shelter centers of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip, Palestinian medical sources said on Monday.
   
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said in a press statement that it had received "reports of deaths and injuries among the displaced as a result of the occupation's bombings of shelter centers."

"The spokesman of the Health Ministry in Gaza said in a statement that Israeli forces were committing horrific crimes west of Khan Younis, as the Israeli airstrikes, artillery shelling, and gunfire escalated in the southern and western neighborhoods of the besieged city. The Israeli military attacked the ambulance center of the city, ambulances, hospitals, schools, and cemeteries, in addition to using heavy explosives to destroy entire neighborhoods in the city."

"In southern Gaza, Israel Defense Forces launched large attack on the city of Khan Younis. Local media said it was the heaviest fighting and it is likely to last several more days."
