The water surrounding Ontario Beach Park pier transformed into an arctic wonderland as cold weather persisted in New York.
Footage shows the view of the frozen water as temperatures dropped to minus 3 degrees Celsius in Rochester on January 21.
Chunks of ice floated on the surface while icicles had formed on the safety railings around the pier.
The entire beach was blanketed in ice until the end of the pier, where floating ice and crashing waves created a scene reminiscent of the Arctic.
