On January 22, 2024, a distressing video surfaced online, revealing the challenging journey that schoolchildren from the village of Yuzhny in the Krasnodar Territory, Russia, undertake daily to reach their school. In the midst of a vast frozen landscape, children wade through knee-deep icy water paths, a consequence of a frozen field they must traverse. The frozen route, formed by the footsteps of those before them, poses not only a hindrance to their movement but also a potential health risk as the children navigate the field at least twice a day. To add to their struggle, the sidewalk and pedestrian area near the school are completely submerged. Despite the persistence of this issue, no measures have been implemented to alleviate the situation, leaving these young students to endure the challenging "walk" for the sake of their education.
