An escaped lab mouse rode on the back of a worker's neck to hide from her in China.

The white rodent jumped out of the cage with two others when the worker in PPE tried to weigh them in Shanghai province on January 8.

While two of them scurried to hide under the table, a clever one crawled to her back and clung to her coat to conceal itself.

CCTV footage shows the mouse staying in its position while the worker tried her best to locate the third missing lab animal.

She checked under the tables and shelves but to no avail as the white rodent was riding on her back all along.

The lab techjnician said they found out what happened upon checking the CCTV after searching for more than ten minutes.
