China has developed a solid relationship with France in various sectors, especially in the nuclear industry, said the chief representative of a French power giant. 

Fabrice Fourcade, EDF's general delegate in China, said that the partnership between China and France in the nuclear industry plays an important role which must be continued and consolidated.

"Globally, more and more people are realizing that nuclear power is a useful instrument and even indispensable in some places to fight against climate change. In this context, the nuclear partnership between France and China must be continued and consolidated. We have a magnificent basis for it."

This year marks the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and France.
