In a dramatic turn of events on December 26, dash camera footage captured Hollywood Police employing a grappler to apprehend two 17-year-old carjackers, Terrell Kirkland and Santiago Iglesias, who had held up a man at gunpoint and stole his Chevrolet Camaro.

The pursuit unfolded as officers tracked the stolen vehicle, leading to a crash into a wire fence. With precision, a net was deployed from a police cruiser, hooking onto the back left wheel of the Camaro. As the cruiser applied brakes, the stolen car came to a halt, leading to the surrender of both suspects without further incident.

Facing charges of robbery, carjacking, and fleeing police, Kirkland and Iglesias were successfully apprehended thanks to the Hollywood Police Department's innovative use of six grappler devices in its fleet.
