"Hello, everyone. This is a grain of rice engraved with eight pandas. Because it is too small, we need a magnifying glass to see it."

He can even write down words on a thread of hair.

SOUNDBITE (English): ZHOU XINXING, Miniaturist from Jinxian County, Jiangxi
"When I first started doing 'hair carving,' I could hardly make a successful one out of 100 pieces. So I kept practicing every day. A little mistake would waste my entire work. The success rate was very low."

Over the years, Zhou's works have extended to rice, paper fans, seals and letters.
