China: Massive Earthquake Of Magnitude 7.1 Strikes Xinjiang Region

On January 23, an earthquake of magnitude 7.1 hit Wushi County, Aksu Prefecture, Xinjiang, China.

The video captured by a local’s monitor at around 2 a.m. shows the house and furniture shaking violently as the disaster was happening.

According to local media, so far 3 people have been killed and 5 injured; 12,426 people have been relocated to the affected areas, and rescue and relief work is still being stepped up.
