The Irish Coast Guard rescued a dog that became stranded after plunging into the sea in County Dublin, Ireland.

A volunteer lifeboat came to the rescue of Charlie, a 3-year-old cocker spaniel, who accidentally fell into the sea while playing on the slippery harbour wall steps.

The lifeboat 'Joval,' led by Volunteer Helm Andrew Sykes, along with crew members Laura Jackson and James Traynor, reached the scene within a remarkable six minutes of the call. Despite calm conditions and excellent visibility, the low sea temperature presented challenges for the stranded canine.

Charlie, visibly shaken, found comfort in the arms of crew member Laura Jackson and, fortunately, required no medical treatment upon reaching the shore. Delighted by the successful rescue, the lifeboat crew reunited Charlie with his relieved owner.
