The consumer price index (CPI) in Japan rose by 3.1% in 2023, mainly due to the rise in prices of food, household products, and furniture, which marks the highest annual growth of the index in 41 years, the government reported on Friday.
In December alone, prices rose in the Asian country by 2.3%, moderately falling from 2.5% in November, according to figures revealed today.
