In a series of recent developments, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have undertaken significant offensive and defensive operations in the southern Gaza Strip. The 630th Reserve Battalion of the Southern Brigade, collaborating with combat engineering teams, completed operations on the outskirts of Khan Yunis. Their focus was on locating and dismantling attack tunnels and underground infrastructure, successfully neutralizing numerous Hamas structures.

Simultaneously, forces from the 261st Brigade engaged in dismantling Hamas infrastructure, with the operation met by RPG missile fire. Tragically, during this exchange, 21 reserve soldiers lost their lives, and others sustained injuries due to the firing and the subsequent collapse of a nearby structure. The IDF expresses condolences to the families of the fallen soldiers and continues to support them.
