A polyamorous couple are on the lookout for a woman to join them in a throuple and become a “second mum” for their son – but say dating has dried up since they became parents.

Jess and Stephen Demarco have hit the headlines in the past year for sharing the ins and outs of their unusual relationship set-up.

The duo have been together for 14 years and have a one-year-old son called Luca.

But juggling parenthood with dating isn’t always an easy task, as the couple now look for love – and they want their future partner to also help bring up their boy.

Jess says she isn’t afraid of another woman loving her child and would actually be very grateful for the help.

“We actually waited a little bit longer than we were going to because we [originally] wanted to start a family [with a third woman],” Jess told https://whatsthejam.com/.

“We want our little one to have a second mom.

“We want the help; they always say it takes a village but no one's trying to build a village.

“I am not afraid for another woman to love my child or to have another one of Stephen's children and grow as a family that way too.”

Jess says her ultimate goal is to have one big family for Luca but that, since giving birth and moving location, it’s been difficult to date.

She said: “Dating is definitely different with the baby.

“Honestly, I'm just sad that we can't find dates that we have now with baby and it's a little different dating that way.

“But Stephen and I are doing great.

“We lean on each other even more and just we really see that we're on the same page.”

In terms of the ‘rules’ of their unusual relationship, the pair have one main premise: “What's fair for one is fair for all”.

Jess said: “We date other women together.

“We want to be just like a monogamous two-person relationship, just as three [people], so I can kind of have my cake and eat it too.

“[When in a throuple], we like to stay together [and] always do things as a group.”

When it comes to finding dates, Jess lets Stephen take full control and hand-pick new partners.

And Jess insists that she rarely gets jealous.

She said: “I let him go on Tinder, pick up the girls, have a few conversations, make sure everybody's real and we usually go on a date within a couple of days.

“If it's great – everybody likes each other –  then we usually do group sex at first or for a couple [of] times [while] we're all still getting to know each other.

“As long as everyone's consensual and ethical about it.”

People online have mixed views about the couple’s unusual relationship set-up.

Jess said: “We love to get the people talking.

“A lot of people online [are] like, as soon as you give birth to this baby, you're not gonna want any of those girlfriends around your man or this or that.

“We actually like when people leave kind of harsh comments…[…] and then it creates conversation.”

In terms of having more kids in the future, the couple say that they’re happy with having one child but if a future girlfriend should want a child, they’d be happy to comply.

They added: “We like one for now.

“But definitely if we get another girlfriend.

“We want to do it probably when Luca is around five or so and will be settled.”
