Footage has emerged from Minnesota, US, of the snow blizzards that closed schools and caused traffic problems yesterday.

The video shows the difficult conditions many Minnesotans were greeted with when they woke up in the morning.

There were reports of schools being closed and the white out conditions made driving difficult.

The filmer later wrote online: "This is what many Minnesotans had to look forward to this morning [February 8] - the snow drifts greeting them as they walked out the door.

"It was still snowing and blowing hard."

"Many schools reported two-hour delays only to change them to schools being cancelled completely for the day," he continued.
