Neighbours work together to carry house to new location
Neighbours worked together to carry a house to its new location.
Footage shows at least 18 men helping to heave a wooden home into the family's new address in Sultan Kudarat, the Philippines, on January 14.
The group were led by a friend in front who counted and shouted when to lift and put down the massive structure. The local tradition of helping carry homes is called Bayanihan.
Onlooker Kyle Mark Caboylo said: 'This is the spirit of the Bayanihan. We help our neighbours whenever they are in need, and they will too when it's your turn.'
In the Philippines, Bayanihan is a cultural tradition about communal unity and cooperation, gathering to work together to assist a neighbour without expecting a reward. It is commonly seen in rural areas when a family needs to relocate their house, the entire community comes together to lift and carry the house to its new location.
