This disgusting video shows a group of rats scurrying across the floor and between dirty dishes in a restaurant's kitchen.

Footage recorded in a restaurant in Nanshan County, in the city of Shenzhen in Guangdong, China, showed the rodents running around the kitchen floors on January 20.

A different group of rats effortlessly navigated between stockpiles of dirty dishes waiting to be washed at the sink.

When asked about the unhygienic conditions, the restaurant owner explained that he had been unwell and resting at home when they were seen.

He explained that at the time, only a few employees were working at the busy restaurant, and they were too occupied to handle the dishwashing duties.

This is when, according to the owner, the rats were attracted to the smell and slipped into the kitchen from the streets.

Chinese media reported that health authorities closed off the restaurant immediately after due to the unsanitary conditions emerged.
