Alexander Lehmann, chairman of a leading German meter manufacturer, said that his company has kept increasing its investment in China, as the country remains an outstanding investment destination with rosy innovation.
Lehmann chose China as the destination of his first global business trip in 2024.
In the first half of 2023, Minol-ZENNER Group established a foreign-funded research and development (R&D) center in Shanghai and continued to increase its investment on R&D in China.
With strong R&D, production and manufacturing capabilities, the group's output value in China has reached about 2.5 billion yuan (about 349 million U.S. dollars) in 2023.

"I'm visiting four provinces this time and also our daughter company, our gas meter manufacturer here in Shanghai. We also have a big IT and development department here in Shanghai. We are in China now for 28 years in total.
We will try to place our gas meters, water meters and also heat meters, cooling meters here in the Chinese market like in the past, and I think we are very successful here.
This factory here, for instance, is one of our most important factories, and we will always focus on China. We have for sure other factories, like in Brazil and also in India. But China is our main focus. We have the most quantities we produced here in China."
In the Chinese market itself, we're increasing our revenues every year. But also we export from here to different countries, Southeast Asia, also to Europe, to the United States."
