Humanitarian organisation Turkish Red Crescent successfully sent a 1,510-tonne aid ship to Egypt on January 24, loaded with ambulances and essential supplies for Gazan citizens.

The humanitarian materials were obtained from generous donors and collaborations with various NGOs. They included water purification systems, food, hygiene products, drinking water, tents, blankets, baby diapers, and medical supplies, which will be transported to Gaza via trucks from El Arish Port.

Continuing its steadfast support for the war victims in Gaza, the Turkish Red Crescent remains dedicated to delivering aid through various channels.

The third ship, carrying 1,510 tonnes of humanitarian aid, reached Egypt after departing from Mersin International Port with the presence of Turkish Red Crescent Deputy Chairman Ramazan Saygili, Deputy Secretary-General Sukru Can, and Red Crescent volunteers.

Following processing in Egypt, the supplies will be transported into Gaza via trucks.

Turkish Red Crescent Deputy Chairman Ramazan Saygili expressed gratitude for the contributions of the Turkish people and partnering NGOs, saying: 'This ship carries goodness.'
