Cats are fascinating creatures and have a distinctive routine for getting ready for bed. Before going to bed, a cat usually begins a meticulous cleaning process. Start by licking his paws and then caress his face, ears and the rest of his fur with soft and precise movements.
After the grooming session, the cat will probably choose a comfortable, warm place to sleep. It can be a cozy corner, a soft bed or even the lap of its owner. Before closing its eyes, the cat usually gently kneads with its front paws, a behavior that resembles the behavior they had when they were kittens nursing their mother. This kneading relaxes the cat and is a sign that it feels safe and comfortable.
Finally, with its eyes half-closed, the cat relaxes completely and falls into a deep sleep. The calmness and grace with which cats prepare for sleep is always delightful to watch.
