STANDUP 1 (English): OHOOD AL-JAGHOUB, Xinhua reporter in Ramallah
"Following the case submitted by South Africa against Israel to the International Court of Justice (ICJ), the ICJ in The Hague on Friday ordered Israel to take all possible measures to prevent 'genocide acts' in the Gaza Strip and demanded Israel to report on the measures regarding the order within one month.
Palestine welcomed the decision of ICJ on the situation in the Gaza Strip in favor of humanity and international law, said the Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad Al-Maliki on Friday."
STANDUP 2 (English): ZHANG TIANLANG, Xinhua correspondent in Jerusalem
"The International Court of Justice on Friday ordered Israel to take all measures to prevent acts of genocide in Gaza. In response to the provisional ruling, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu issued a video online, saying Israel's commitment to international law is unwavering, and the charge of 'genocide' leveled by South Africa is 'outrageous.' He also emphasized Israel's military action in Gaza is "against Hamas, not against Palestinian civilians."
