SOUNDBITE (English): PHILIPP VON HIRSCHHEYDT, Member of Continental's Executive Board
"We have been seeing 30 million produced cars (in China) in 2023, and we're seeing that the export engine is starting to grow. So, what we want to do is we want to work even closer with our customers, we want to support them going forward, going to overseas countries and to see how are we able to improve our overall relationship with them.
The Chinese automotive market is probably the most competitive one in the world today. I do see a great and prosperous future. From a business point of view, China is still an important country and the most important country for the next years to come and to demonstrate what Continental Automotive is capable of."
Xinhua News Agency correspondents reporting from Shanghai, China.
