A Togolese scholar has said that China's development
prioritizes the well-being of its people

In an interview with Xinhua, the scholar shared
his feelings about visiting China this year

"I did my thesis in China, so I've lived with the Chinese, and I know the Chinese people.
This year, when I was in China, I was surprised.
I lived in China from 2004 to 2009, and everything changed dramatically.
Chinese people are getting better, and keep getting better.
For China, development means development to the benefit of the entire population, and it means first and foremost putting the people at ease.
When you compare the Chinese people today with many other peoples in the world,
I would say that the Chinese people are the most fulfilled, and the most developed,
because since the 2020s, we have seen in China a significant improvement in the living conditions of the population,
in terms of infrastructure, education, health, respect for human rights, and in terms of community life.
So China is really a country to admire."
