Tourists enjoy heavy Snowfall in Upper reaches Of Jammu Kashmir

The hills of Kashmir received snowfall while parts of the Valley were lashed by rains leading to rise in night temperatures while the day temperatures dropped by several notches on January 29.

The higher reaches of Kashmir received snowfall since last night with Gulmarg and Macchil received around 5 inches of snow, Gurez 3 inches, upper reaches of Baramulla around 3 inches, Sonmarg 3 inches and Pir Ki Gali 4 inches.
Tourists at Gulmarg were seen playing with snow as this was season’s first snowfall in the ski resort.

The parts of Kashmir had light rains and with Meteorological Department Srinagar forecasting light to moderate rain and snowfall over Jammu and Kashmir during the next 24 hours.
