STORYLINE:

The Toronto Tea Festival, one of the most anticipated events for tea enthusiasts, was back for its milestone 10th annual celebration over the past weekend.

Following the challenges of the past years, the festival is poised to continue its triumphant return, bringing together tea lovers, industry experts, and vendors in a celebration of all things tea.

The 2024 Toronto Tea Festival promises an unparalleled experience with over 50 vendors showcasing a diverse range of teas, tea-related products, and accessories.

SOUNDBITE 1 (English): NICCI LI, Staff from The Toronto Tea Festival
"Tea is becoming so much more popular in Canada, so we're seeing a huge influx in popularity. We have a lot more Chinese vendors in here, so we have some new varieties, and trying some new teas and some new tea bags and some other varieties of different things. We also have a cold steeping bottle, because there are some cold steep Chinese teas that are popular this year."

SOUNDBITE 2 (Chinese): Chinese tea artist
"Appreciating Chinese tea art was a very niche circle when I first came here. Some foreigners do not know much about Chinese tea, including some Chinese students who are not particularly interested in tea art. I can feel that in recent years, not only many foreigners, but also many Chinese students are very fond of Chinese culture, and they are looking for such opportunities overseas to understand and show the Chinese tea art. I think beautiful things are cross-racial. People will be attracted to it at a glance. They will like this thing and learn about it."
