Emergency services, including 125 firefighters, responded to flat fire in Wembley, London.

Twenty fire engines and around 125 firefighters from London Fire Brigade (LFB) responded at approximately 16:42GMT on Monday 29/01/2024 to a flat fire on Elm Road, Wembley.

Part of the building's roof was alight. Residents followed their evacuation procedure and were assisted by firefighters upon arrival. The adjoining four-storey block was also evacuated as a precaution.

Two of LFB's 32-metre turntable ladders were used as a water tower to help extinguish the fire.

The fire was under control by 22:01GMT. Firefighters from Wembley, Park Royal, Northolt and surrounding fire stations attended the scene. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
