A father's quick reflexes saved his 2-year-old son from a potentially dangerous fall in northern China.

The video was filmed in the city of Harbin in Heilongjiang Province on January 27.

A father stepping out of his car to cross an icy road, lost his footing due to the slippery surface. In a shocking turn, his young son was flung from his arms, seemingly destined for a dangerous headfirst fall onto the hard, icy ground.

Displaying incredible reflexes and parental instinct, the quick-thinking father managed to snatch his child out of harm's way in the nick of time.

Fortunately, the toddler escaped without a scratch.
