Brazilian Air Force intercept unauthorised Cessna plane flying into air defense zone
The Brazilian Air Force intercepted an unauthorised plane flying into Brazil's defense zone on Monday.
The Cessna 182 was monitored by the Aerospace Operations Command and Federal Police when it entered the Air Defense Identification Zone around 110 kilometres west of Boa Vista in Roraima on January 29.
Air force officers sent out a warning, but the aircraft failed to comply, prompting defensive measures.
Footage shows E-99, R-99, and A-29 Super Tucano aircrafts intercepting and shooting down the 'suspicious' Cessna, which landed on a field.
The pilot managed to escape, while authorities seized the plane.
