IDF Forces Uncover and Destroy Elaborate Hamas Tunnel Network Under Cemetery

The 98th Division of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) successfully raided an intricate underground tunnel beneath the Bani Suheila cemetery in Khan Yunis.
During the operation, forces discovered explosive materials, and sliding and blast-proof doors, eliminating militants found within. The tunnel, part of a kilometre-long, 20-meter-deep labyrinth, served as a command hub for senior Hamas officials.
It housed an office for a Khan Yunis Brigade battalion commander orchestrating an attack, an operations room, and living quarters for high-ranking Hamas leaders. The Yahalom Special Engineering Unit later demolished the tunnel as part of the investigation.
