Brave Boy Rescues Grandmother and Father from Burning House in Zhoukou, China
This footage was filmed and produced 21 January 2024.
At midnight, a 12-year-old boy found the house on fire and he came into the burning home 4 times to rescue his grandmother and his father after he had escaped from the flames.
Video filmed at around 2 a.m. on January 21, 2024, in the City of Zhoukou in Henan Province shows the family staying at Aunt Ms. Cui’s home and the brave boy comforting his frightened grandmother.
According to local reports, the boy Yangyang was alerted by his father’s crying for help and he awoke the sleeping grandma. Yangyang ran out of the house first and called the firefighters for help.
He found his family was still trapped in the fire after the call. Yangyang straightforwardly walked through the dense smoke repeatedly and managed to rescue the unconscious kinsfolk.
The firefighters arrived and they spent two hours to put out the open fire. The village cadres gave them some help as well.
Thanks to Yangyang’s quick reaction, his grandmother and he were unharmed; only the father suffered some burns.
It was reported that the cause of the fire was that the father smoked in bed after drinking and accidentally ignited the combustibles around.
