Anchorage, Alaska, saw record-breaking snow on January 29 with the city seeing over 100 inches of snow.
The city, which was hit with almost 16 inches of snow over the weekend, has now had more than 8.5 feet this winter, the second year to break the 100-inch mark. If the trend continues, Anchorage could break its all-time record of 134.5 inches recorded in the winter of 2011.
This footage Shared and filmed by Brian Brettschneider, an Alaska-based climate scientist, shows thick snow outside his home.
Brettschneider sharing updates on snow writes on his X profile: "Anchorage had a snow depth yesterday of 37 inches and today it is also 37 inches. The last time we had consecutive days with a snow depth this great was in March 1959."
