Footage appears to show self-propelled multiple rocket launchers destroying Ukrainian targets in a forested area.

Russian soldiers from the Central Military District targeted Ukrainian positions using 122-millimetre BM-21 Grad rocket launchers in the area of Lyman, in Ukraine's Donetsk Oblast, on January 29.

Russia's Ministry of Defence said in a statement: 'After receiving data from advanced scouts on the front line, about the accumulation of enemy forces numbering up to 50 servicemen of the National Guard of Ukraine, the Russian multiple rocket launchers BM-21 Grad arrived at firing positions.

'By tying into the terrain, the artillerymen of the Central Military District conducted a group salvo of 122-millimetre rockets at the identified target.

'As a result, more than 30 personnel of the enemy's units ended up killed and wounded.

'The results of objective control from the air confirmed the success of hitting the identified target.'

Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, 2022, in what the Kremlin is still calling a 'special military operation'.
