Russian Armed Forces have released this footage showing its members training for combat with the usage of reconnaissance drones and FPV drones at a centre for training specialists in unmanned aerial vehicles in Russia's Southern Military District (SMD).

The SMD houses a specialised training centre committed to instructing military personnel in the adept utilisation of both reconnaissance drones and First Person View (FPV) drones tailored for combat scenarios, the Russian Ministry of Defence said.

They said in a statement: 'Under the guidance of experienced instructors, servicemen were taught how to deploy UAVs for surveillance and execute precision strikes on a simulated adversary.

'This demonstration underscored the seamless integration of drone operations with artillery and assault units, according to the ministry.

'Soldiers also underwent a comprehensive training program encompassing theoretical knowledge and practical application in piloting FPV drones.

'This intensive training regimen spans two weeks for reconnaissance drones and up to a month for FPV drone operations.'

Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, 2022, in what the Kremlin is still calling a 'special military operation'.
