Father soars hometown in private plane with daughter for upcoming Chinese New Year
A father soared hometown in a private plane with his daughter for the upcoming Chinese New Year.
The video was filmed in the city of Liu'an in Anhui Province on January 30.
Mr. Wang flew a plane to bring his 7-year-old daughter back to their hometown, Lixin County, for the upcoming Chinese New Year (February 10).
Wang mentioned that the plane has two seats, and luggage can be placed in the rear cabin. As a flight instructor, he has been flying home for the New Year for many years, finding flying to be more than 2 hours faster than driving.
This time, the flight to his hometown took around 50 minutes, while driving would have taken more than 3 hours. There's a flying camp near his hometown where he can land. Initially, villagers found it novel, but now it's become routine.
Wang explained that flying a small aircraft requires prior notification, "Before flying, you need to report the take-off time and other details to the Civil Aviation Administration and other relevant authorities, confirm that the route has no conflicts, and then you can take off. Since the route from Liuan to Lixin is fixed, reporting a few hours in advance is sufficient."
Regarding concerns about the safety of flying with a child, Wang stated that due to his profession, he has been flying with his daughter since she was in kindergarten, and she is accustomed to it.
This flight was smooth, and the child even took a nap during the journey. "According to laws and regulations, one must be 17 or older to obtain a pilot's license, but there's no age restriction for flight experiences. So, children can ride in small aircraft as long as their health allows," Wang said.
Mrs. Bao, Wang's wife, also assured that her husband, being a licensed flight instructor with extensive experience, ensures safety. Their daughter has good physical fitness, doesn't get airsick in planes, and eagerly enjoys the flying experience. Therefore, Bao is confident and at ease with their decision.
