Massive bison looks like Bambi on ice as he slips and falls on frozen river
This is the hilarious moment a massive bison slipped and fell on a frozen river like a massive version of Bambi on ice.
When the owner of Creekside at Yellowstone was visiting Yellowstone National Park’s Lamar Valley, Wyoming, USA, on January 19 they were treated to a mammoth sight.
Epic footage – which has been viewed more than 500,000 times - captured a herd of bison tentatively crossing frozen water when one of the massive animals appeared to lose its footing.
Despite its best attempts to regain its feet, the buffalo eventually fell on to all fours before managing to stand back up again and sheepishly keep walking on.
The owner of Creekside at Yellowstone said: “When I saw the bison start to run to try to catch up with the others, I thought ‘uh-oh, he's going to slip’.
“Then when he did slip, I started to laugh. When he fell hard, I felt a bit guilty for laughing, and I tried my best to stifle my giggles.
“When I saw the video for the first time, I thought the bison did what any of us would do in this situation – get up, look around, try to play it off like ‘I meant to do that’.”
