U.S. Army Leads Recovery Operations After Roi-Namur, Marshall Islands Faces Severe Flooding

In a compelling display of resilience and cooperation, U.S. Army personnel conducted recovery operations on Roi-Namur, Kwajalein Atoll in the Republic of the Marshall Islands, following substantial flooding caused by weather-driven waves on January 20, 2024.
The flooding prompted the evacuation of 80 out of approximately 120 residents on Roi-Namur. The garrison, along with various mission partners forming Team Kwaj, is actively engaged in collaborative efforts to restore the island to its former state.
