Helmet saves motorcyclist's life in nasty crash with 4x4
Shocking footage has emerged from China of a motorcyclist being saved by the helmet he's wearing when he loses control of his scooter and plows headfirst into a 4x4.
The video, captured in Wuhu, Anhui Province last Tuesday, shows the scooter rider swerving after trying to avoid a pedestrian on the side of the road, but he loses control of his vehicle and smashes into the oncoming car.
According to local reports, the driver's head was not too badly injured because he was wearing a helmet, even though he effectively headbutted the bonnet of the 4x4.
He received emergency treatment in hospital, but the driver is now "out of danger".
