On January 26, 2024, in Bozhou, Anhui, an Alaskan dog appeared to have gotten separated from its owner and was found crying loudly on the side of the road.

Compassionate passersby nearby saw the dog crying like a small child who had lost its parents, they couldn't help but crouch down to hug and comfort it. Unsure of what to do, the passerby called the police, and eventually managed to reunite the dog with its owner.

According to the owner, the dog, named Mimi, is seven years old and was unable to find his home after running out to play on his own. Chinese netizens were amused by the dog's apparent meltdown, commenting that his loud cries were like a howl asking if anyone who knew him and could take him home.
