The video purportedly shows Russian artillery units using howitzers to destroy hidden Ukrainian bunkers.

Artillerymen from Russia's Western Military District carried out the alleged attacks with 152-millimetre 2A36 Giatsint-B field guns on camouflaged firing points of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The attack reportedly took place in the area of the city of Kupyansk, in Ukraine's Kharkiv Oblast, on February 1.

Russia's Ministry of Defense said in a statement: 'This time, the calculations of the 'Giatsint-B' guns delivered fire strikes against enemy personnel, thereby covering our infantry at the front edge.'

A gunner called 'Lyubert' said: 'Reconnaissance gave uscoordinates. We targeted the bunkers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces units.

'We hit the target precisely. The firing range was 19 kilometres [11.8 miles]. We used high-explosive fragmentation shells. We work frequently. Day, night, at any time we stand up and go to work.

'For good and quality work, we take into account the humidity of the air, wind strength, air temperature, charge, and projectile.

'Even the temperature of the gunbarrel also plays a major role in the projectile's flight.'
