The USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72) is currently underway in the U.S. 3rd Fleet area of operations, conducting advanced tactical training. The Nimitz-class aircraft carrier is part of the Abraham Lincoln Carrier Strike Group, comprised of ships and assets that are specially equipped to achieve a range of maritime security operations. As they conduct training exercises in the Pacific Ocean, sailors on board the USS Abraham Lincoln are working hard to keep the ship's aircraft in top shape.
Recently, sailors were seen conducting aircraft maintenance in the hangar bay of the aircraft carrier. With precision and care, the sailors worked to maintain the aircraft's readiness for potential missions. The advanced tactical training that the Abraham Lincoln Carrier Strike Group is conducting is crucial to increasing their warfighting capabilities and tactical proficiency across all domains.
As the Abraham Lincoln Carrier Strike Group continues to operate in the U.S. 3rd Fleet area of operations, they are well-equipped and well-prepared to respond to any potential threats.
