A driver crashed through a small tea shop barely dodging the two customers inside after mistakenly stepping on the accelerator.

Dramatic CCTV footage shows the new white Volkswagen sedan stopping outside the shop's entrance in a city in Henan, China, on the afternoon of January 31.

The driver, whose identity is currently unknown, then turned right and slowly made their way up the curb.

Meanwhile, a young man and a young woman could be seen standing inside the teashop waiting to get their order as the driver attempted to park right by the door.

The driver moved slowly and with hesitation, even briefly stopping for a few moments when suddenly, they slammed on the accelerator and rushed through the glass entrance.

The door shattered into pieces as the car crashed into several tables and chairs inside the store before coming to a halt.

Luckily, the vendor and the two customers stood by the counter at the moment of the crash and escaped any injury.

It is currently unclear if the driver suffered any harm. The exact cause of the accident is not yet known.
