Three Dogs Engage in fierce battle with cobra mid-street as stunned locals watch
Three dogs were seen locked in a fierce battle with a cobra in the middle of the street as stunned locals watched.
At the beginning of the clip, one of the dogs can be seen aggressively barking at the snake in front of a family's home in the town of Shravasti in Uttar Pradesh, India, on February 5.
Joined by the other two, the pooch continued growling at the reptile and attacking it as a woman stood on the corner of the street, seemingly too terrified to move.
A man can then be heard encouraging her not to fear and cross the road. She, however, did not move until the end of the video, apparently scared after making eye contact with the snake.
The Indian cobra (Naja naja), also known commonly as the spectacled cobra, is a venomous snake that is a member of the 'big four' species that are responsible for most snakebite cases in India.
It is a protected species under the Indian Wildlife Protection Act (1972).
