Filmed in Tongren, Guizhou, Mr. Wei was driving with two family members on their way home when they encountered icy and snowy weather. To avoid a large truck, their vehicle skidded out of control and plunged about 60 meters down a cliff. Fortunately, Mr. Wei and his family members only sustained minor injuries. The vehicle automatically sent out an SOS distress signal, leading to their successful rescue.

Photos from the scene show that the safety airbags on both sides of the vehicle had deployed. The car, an electric SUV, demonstrated remarkable safety performance as it did not catch fire after the tumble, showcasing its overall safety features.

On February 5th, Mr. Wei expressed on social media that the car had given him a second lease on life.
