In a heartwarming rescue operation on February 4, firefighters in Michigan sprang into action to save two distressed deer that had fallen through the fragile ice covering Versluis Lake at Versluis Park in Grand Rapids.

The Plainfield Township Fire Department, in collaboration with the Cannon Township Fire Department, swiftly responded to a call for help after reports of two deer in distress on the icy lake surfaced.

A video capturing the daring rescue mission shows firefighters utilising a rescue hovercraft to navigate the treacherous waters and reach the stranded animals.

With precision and care, the firefighters successfully rescued the deer from the icy waters and brought them to the safety of the shore.

Bystanders from the nearby Waterford Condos extended their support by assisting in drying and warming the rescued deer to ward off any signs of hypothermia.
