This is the moment a quick-thinking bus conductor saved a female passenger from falling off the moving vehicle by grabbing her hair and pulling her inside.

The incident was caught on surveillance cameras aboard the private bus traveling from the city of Erode to the town of Mettur, in Tamil Nadu State, southern India, on January 17.

In the video, the unnamed woman, reportedly headed to Chithar, was seen standing up from her seat to get down at her stop.

But as soon as she reached the exit door, she tripped while walking and fell.

At that moment, the conductor of the bus, who stood on the footboard, quickly grabbed her hair to help her regain balance and pulled her back inside.

Once the bus came to a halt, the woman gathered her belongings and safely exited the bus, thanking the bus conductor.
